Read About Our Open Positions At IFS
Over the past 17 years at IFS, we have filled many positions and experienced a few growth spurts. Our biggest started in 2013. In 2013 we moved from our roots in Weimar, CA to Rocklin, CA. This move to the Rocklin allowed our company to expand in many ways. We were in a better location to bring on Technicians and we had more office space to grow our support team. In less than 5 years we went from having 7 employees to 21 employees. In the past 3 years we have held steady with a great team able to support our customers. But now, we are at a point where we are beginning to grow again.
As of today, June 22nd, 2021 we are looking to hire for 2 office positions and a few field technician positions.
Open Office Positions
We currently have two open office positions available. One is for an Accounts Receivable and Construction Administrator and the other is for a Sales and Operations Administrator.
Accounts Receivable and Construction Administrator
This position handles all billing for inspections and construction projects. You would assist the Financial Administrator with service, repair, and correction billing. Receive and inputs daily deposits. Manage and maintain past due invoices. Maintain and update our customer data base. Enter Technician time cards into the system daily.
Sales and Operations Administrator
This position is a bridge between clients and team members for the sales process. You would update and/or create sales documents and tracking systems for estimators. Assist in producing proposals for clients. Be the double check before proposal documents are turned over to the Contractor Administrator. Manage and track all sales documents to ensure proposals are not missed and customers are promptly followed up with.
Open Field Technician Positions
We are currently looking to fill a few Technician positions for inspectors, installers, and service techs who are certified in fire alarm and/or fire sprinklers.
Fire Alarm Technicians
For our Fire Alarm Inspectors, we are looking for people who have knowledge of NFPA 72 inspections and testing as well as battery testing. For our Fire Alarm Installers/Service Techs we are looking for people who have knowledge of NFPA 72 service, repairs/corrections, trouble shooting, programming, and tenant improvement work.
Requirements
- Have a current Fire and Life Safety Card
- Be able to lift 100 pounds
- Be on your feet for most of the day
- Climb up and down a ladder for most of the day
- Crawl through attics
Fire Sprinkler Technicians
For our Fire Sprinkler Inspectors, we are looking for people who have knowledge of NFPA 25 annual, quarterly, and 5 year inspection and testing. For our Fire Sprinkler Installers/Service Techs we are looking for people who have knowledge of NFPA 13 service, repair/corrections, trouble shooting, and tenant improvement work. We are also looking for people who have experience with fire pump inspections and wiring flow switches.
Requirements

- Be able to lift 100 pounds
- Be on your feet for most of the day
- Climb up and down a ladder for most of the day
- Crawl through attics

The COVID pandemic threw us a lot of curve balls. There was a period of time where work was slow, but we made it through to the other side with our team.
Now that California has officially opened back up, we are busier than ever and ready to bring new people with fresh and relevant ideas onto our team. Our strengths as a team have really grown in the past year and now it is time for us to increase the size of our team.
